Shabaash Mithu: Not only Mithali Raj, but Shah Rukh Khan also kept Taapsee Pannu motivated on sets; Know how

Taapsee Pannu will next be seen essaying the titular role of ace Indian cricketer Mithali Raj in the upcoming biopic, Shabaash Mithu . The actress followed the cricketer’s iconic journey of being former Test and ODI captain of the India women's national cricket team to prepare for the movie. But recently she revealed that she derived motivation from Shah Rukh Khan as well. Yes, she watched SRK’s sports drama Chak De India several times for encouragement while shooting the upcoming movie.

Currently, Taapsee is on a promotional spree for Shabaash Mithu, which is set to release on July 15. The film is directed by Srijit Mukherji and produced by Viacom18 Studios. In a recent media interaction, the actress said that when she first heard the motivational speech of SRK in Chak De India, she was so much motivated that she could have run through a brick wall. She also revealed that many times, she used to tell her colleagues on sets of Shabaash Mithu to watch the SRK’s film before starting filming the climax to get into that zone.

For the unversed, SRK’s Chak De India is directed by Shimit Amin and produced by Aditya Chopra ’s Yash Raj Films . The actor plays the role of Kabir Khan , a former hockey star, who is tainted as someone who betrayed his country. However, he begins coaching the Indian women's national hockey team to prove his loyalty to the nation.

Meanwhile, Taapsee is also collaborating with SRK for the first time for Rajkumar Hirani ’s upcoming directorial Dunki. Talking about it, she said that she has a special admiration for the superstar for the fact that they both hail from the same city. Apart from Dunki, she will also be seen in Anurag Kashyap ’s mystery drama Dobaaraa alongside Pavail Gulati. She also has Ajay Bahl’s horror thriller, Blurr opposite Gulshan Devaiah .
