Breaking Barriers: First Latina Supergirl
In what can only be described as a triumph over an overwhelming 400 actors, Calle emerged victorious to claim the superhero mantle. With this remarkable casting, she shatters a glass ceiling by becoming the first Latina ever to portray Supergirl.
Before soaring high as the iconic superhero, Calle had a successful stint as Lola Rosales on “The Young and the Restless," which earned her a Daytime Emmy nomination in 2020. A graduate of AMDA's College & Conservatory of The Performing Arts, Calle is also a talented singer/songwriter and released a soulful cover of Lauryn Hill’s “Ex-Factor,” in 2020.
