Akshay Kumar is back with a banger. The actor will be seen next in the drama film Sarfira, directed by Sudha Kongara. The makers of the film dropped the film’s trailer earlier today which seems to have impressed the audience who are claiming Sarfira to be the ‘return of Akshay Kumar.’
The trailer of Sarfira showcases the journey of a common man who attempts to make airline tickets affordable to ordinary people. The leading man, Akshay Kumar, comes across many challenges as he pursues his mission.

Fans, who seem to be impressed with the Sarfira trailer, have taken to Twitter to voice their opinions. Most of the netizens appreciated the looks and dialogues in the trailer, while others claim that this is what they missed from Akshay Kumar. “After a long long time, #AkshayKumar's film is giving us Excellent vibes! And with this, the film is going to be a COMEBACK film of @akshaykumar,” one user said on social media.
Appreciating the acting prowess of actor Akshay Kumar, Twitter users shared stills from the trailer and showered praises on the actor calling Sarfira to be the return of Akshay Kumar. “#AkshayKumar has to be the most passionate actor. His earnestness, effort, and passion pour from the trailer,” commented one netizen.
Fans were quick to take notice of South Indian actor Suriya in the film’s trailer. The actor played the lead role in the film Soorarai Pottru and Sarfira is the Hindu remake of the Tamil film. Expressing joy in seeing Suriya in the trailer, one user said that they would watch the film only for Suriya’s appearance. Another person added, “#Suriya's cool look from Soorarai Pottru Hindi remake #Sarfira. He plays a special appearance in the movie & coming to onscreen after a long.” Pointing out the brilliance of director Sudha Kongara and how she included Suriya in the film, one user wrote that the director has very skillfully dropped a glimpse of superstar Suriya in the trailer.

Actor Akshay Kumar has been struggling to earn big numbers at the box office for quite some time now. His past films such as Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Mission Raniganj, Ram Setu, and Raksha Bandhan, among others, have proven to be duds at the box office. Acknowledging Akshay’s flops, one user said that Sarfira has the potential to perform much better than many other Akshay Kumar films released in the last two years.

Helmed by Sudha Kongara, Sarfira stars Akshay Kumar, Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal. The film will hit the theatres on July 12.
