Sarfira - All you need to know about Akshay Kumar’s Soorarai Pottru remake

Before being seen in Mohit Suri’s comedy-drama Khel Khel Mein, Akshay Kumar will be seen alongside Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal in Sarfira. The movie is the remake of the hit 2020 Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, which had Suriya in the lead role.

Akshay took to his social media pages to reveal the first poster image of the film while also unveiling Sarfira's release date.

Sarfira release date announced

On Instagram, Akshay shared a poster image of Sarfira with the release date. He captioned the post, "The story of a man who dared to dream big! And for me this is a story, a character, a film, an opportunity of a lifetime! #Sarfira trailer out on 18th June.” Akshay also unveiled the release date of the film and wrote, “Catch Sarfira on 12th July, only in cinemas.”

In the poster, the actor is wearing black sunglasses, in which the reflection of a plane taking off is visible. “Sarfira. Dream so big, they call you crazy. 12th July 2024, only in cinemas,” is written on the poster.

Netizen’s react

Akshay’s fans took notice of the poster image and appreciated his look in the film. One user wrote, “Perfect look, I can't wait,” while another posted, “Masterpiece loading!”

Akshay had shared the first look from Sarfira early this year. In the video clip shared by the actor on his social media, he was seen opening his arms while smiling and leaning backwards while riding a bike.

The synopsis of the film reads, “Sarfira is all set to inspire the common man to dream big and to chase your dreams even if the world calls you crazy. Sarfira is a uniquely Indian story of grit, determination and jugaad, of an underdog challenging the socio-economic fabric of a system entrenched in class, caste and power dynamics.”
