Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar has become the talk of the town ever since it was released on Netflix on May 1. Starring Richa Chadha, Manisha Koirala, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Aditi Rao Hydari and Sonakshi Sinha, the series is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Sonakshi, who plays Fareedan in the series, is one of the pivotal characters. The actress has now penned a note for director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, his direction and the team that helped in the creation of the song Tilasmi Bahein in one take.

On Instagram, Sonakshi shared pictures from the shooting of Tilasmi Bahein. While the first two pictures are from the songs, the next three images are Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s reaction to the song. The last post is a video of Sonakshi rehearsing the dance moves of the song.

She captioned the post, “Cant get over that day!!! From on the spot rehearsal just minutes before the take to getting the perfect take for my first ONE SHOT song - Tilasmi bahein… swipe right to see Sanjay sirs reaction, and what we did right after packup coz we couldnt believe the song was done but we dint get enough… uff pure magic.”

Sonakshi’s fans reacted to the post with heartfelt comments. One user wrote, “Peace mercy and blessings of almighty GOD on you Sonakshi mam @aslisona,” while another wrote, “Real Sona.”

Release of Tilasmi Bahein

The makers of Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar released the song Tilasmi Bahein on April 3, before the release of the series on Netflix. The song received a lot of attention from the audience, which praised the actress for her impeccable dance moves.

Sonakshi Sinha plays Fareedan, Mallika Jaan’s rival (Manisha Koirala), in Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the series released on Netflix on May 1.
