Akshay Kumar starrer Samrat Prithviraj is all scheduled to release on June 3 and the movie has been grabbing a lot of eyeballs and anticipation with the nearing release date. However, there is now a not-so-pleasant development surrounding the movie. Reportedly, the movie has been banned in countries like Oman and Kuwait.
A source close to the movie has revealed the same to Bollywood Hungama . The source was quoted to reveal, “It is highly unfortunate that a film that is based on our glorious Hindu Samrat Prithviraj ’s life and courage has been banned in some international markets like Kuwait and Oman. It seems that these countries have taken this stand in the run-up to the film’s release.”
The source further hinted that the ban of Samrat Prithviraj in these countries is only questioning the fact of whether people are ready to accept the atrocities on India and Hindus. The source was furthermore quoted to say, “Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan’s life is a testimony to the fact that Indians stood up for what is right and defended our country from merciless invaders who only wanted to loot and plunder and murder our people. Banning his life story only makes one question the fact that why can’t people take a look at history and accept what happened to India and Hindus.”
