Samantha Ruth Prabhu gets candid about divorce with Naga Chaitanya on Koffee With Karan 7; reveals there are hard feelings

One of South film industry’s favorite couples, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya dated for 7 long years before tying the knot in a beautiful ceremony in 2017. It was heartbreaking for several fans when they announced that they are parting ways in October last year. The two were transparent in the post they shared on social media, but decided to keep their lips sealed on why it happened, and fans respected their privacy. Well, last night on the third episode of Koffee With Karan 7 , Samantha got candid about the divorce.

Karan Johar did not want to ‘encroach’ so he did not ask why and what happened. But Samantha, who graced the koffee couch with Akshay Kumar , did reveal that the filmmaker had already asked all these questions off camera. Well, talking about life post the separation, the actress shared, “It has been hard. But it’s.. it’s good now. It’s fine. I’m stronger than I have ever been.” When asked if there are hard feelings, Samantha replied, “Are there hard feelings, like if you put us both in a room you have to hide sharp objects? Yeah, as of now yes.” She went on to add that the situation is not amicable at the moment but maybe some time in the future it will be.

Karan then turned to Akshay to talk about his successful marriage with Twinkle Khanna . When the actor advised that all husbands should listen to their wives when they are talking, KJo asked Samantha, “Did your husband sit and listen?” Well, the actress had a hilarious comeback. She said, “One second. Before you point the finger at me, I have a bone to pick with you. You are, on some level, the reason for unhappy marriages. Because you have marketed this idea of marriage and wedding lehengas and weddings songs from our youth and you have portrayed life to be K3G when in fact the reality is KGF .”

Well, Samantha was on fire during her koffee debut and fans absolutely loved her! Her camaraderie with Akshay was also a delight.
