According to a news report by BollywoodLife, Salman Khan is being considered to star in the main role in the remake of Tridev. The report furthermore stated that the director of the original film, Rajiv Rai approached the megastar recently with the subject and he loved the idea of it. Not only this but the remake of the movie is touted to have a contemporary touch for which a new director will be roped in for helming the project.
Furthermore, the report stated that Salman Khan has given his unofficial green signal to the Tridev remake after he was approached by the director and producer of the original 1989 film. For the unversed, the producer of the movie was Gulshan Rai. Since, the movie was an ensemble cast film, the hunt for the other cast members has also reportedly begun. Well, if this news is indeed true, it will be nothing less than a treat for all the Bhai fans out there.
Talking about the original 1989 film, Tridev starred Jackie Shroff, Naseeruddin Shah, Sunny Deol, Madhuri Dixit, Anupam Kher, Sangeeta Bijlani, Sonam Rai, and the late Amrish Puri in the lead roles. The movie was one of the highest-grossing films at the box office in that year and had also won three Filmfare Awards. The movie has also been remade in Telugu as Nakshatra Poratam.
Apart from this, Salman Khan has projects like Tiger 3 and Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali on his kitty. Salman will also be starring in the sequel of his hit 2005 comedy film No Entry which has been titled No Entry Main Entry. The actor then has the sequel to his 2015 film Bajrangi Bhaijaan which will be called Pavan Putra Bhaijaan.
