Taking to Instagram, Sajid Khan shared a throwback picture of himself with his mother Menaka Irani. The picture showed Sajid and Menaka, who was seen in an ethnic ensemble with big sunglasses and a sleek hairdo. He captioned the post, “Still can't believe you are gone...luv u forever mummy...”

If reports are to be believed, Menaka was unwell for the last few months but the family is yet to release an official statement regarding the cause of her death.

For those unaware, Menaka was the sister of Daisy Irani and Honey Irani. She was the aunt of filmmaker siblings Farhan and Zoya Akhtar. Menaka was married to filmmaker Kamran Khan.

After starting her career as a child artist, she later starred in films like Naya Daur, Bandish, Kya Kehna, and Bachpan (1963) alongside Salman Khan’s father, Saleem Khan. She even did a cameo in Farah’s film Main Hoon Na.
