    After mesmerizing audiences with his comedy and thought-provoking social dramas, it looks like comedian-actor RJ Balaji is all set to star as a killer in his next! On the special occasion of the comedian’s birthday, the makers of his upcoming film took to their social media handles to announce his new film, which is yet to be titled. 

    The film is produced by MRP Entertainment and Million Dollar Studios, who had earlier bankrolled hit Tamil films such as Manikandan-starrer Good Night and Lover. The makers also unveiled the first-look poster from the film which is tentatively titled Production No 3.

    The new poster showcases RJ Balaji in a blood-stained suit, holding a lighter in one hand and a birthday candle in the other. In front of the actor is a cake with a knife, from which blood is seen oozing out. The table also has several other items scattered around, such as a hammer, an alcohol bottle, a pistol, and a few bullets. Although the makers unveiled the uncanny poster, details regarding the director and other key people involved in the project have been kept under wraps. The poster promises a crime comedy, and with RJ Balaji on board, audiences can expect a lot of surprises. 

    Interestingly, Million Dollar Studios’ last two production ventures - Good Night and Lover emerged as box office successes and were praised for their brilliant screenplays and the performances of the lead actors. With the production house taking over the project, fans are eagerly waiting for more details about the untitled film.

    Comedian-actor and director RJ Balaji, who was last seen in the 2024 film Singapore Saloon, is reportedly making a comeback with yet another directorial venture. For the unversed, the director-actor made his directorial debut with the 2020 fantasy drama Mookuthi Amman, starring Nayanthara in the lead role. According to the latest reports, the actor is set to revive the project with a sequel. Trisha is reportedly approached to play the role of ‘Masani Amman’ in this film, which is set to be bankrolled by Passion Studios. An official announcement from the team is awaited.
