Rimi Sen sues motor car company for a whopping Rs 50 crore | Here’s what happened

Former Bollywood actress Rimi Sen recently made headlines when the actress was trolled for her changed facial features, making her unrecognisable to her fans. The actress is now in the news for suing a motor company and asking for a whopping Rs 50 crore as compensation for mental harassment. Read on to know what happened.

Rimi Sen sues motor company

According to Times of India, the former Bigg Boss 9 contestant has issued a legal notice against Jaguar Land Rover, Navnit Motors and Satish Motors and is asking for Rs 50 crore in compensation, citing mental suffering.

According to reports, the actress bumped her car into a pillar from the rear end on August 25, 2022, due to the malfunctioning of the rear-end camera. Speaking about the problems she suffered post the accident, Rimi claimed that the motor company has been nothing but ignorant, discourteous, and ill-mannered towards her.

Rimi demands compensation for mental harassment

The complaint even reveals that the company has taken Rimi’s car more than ten times for repair purposes, but problems kept arising. The legal notice adds that the actress experienced mental harassment at the hands of the motor company and hence, the actress is asking for a whopping Rs 50 crore as compensation. In addition, Rimi is also asking for an amount of Rs 10 lakh for her legal expenses.

Talking about the situation and her accident, Rimi said that the motor car company’s negligence could cost someone their life. She added, "I was absolutely disappointed with the car company and its services. Worst was their attitude towards their customer. I bumped into a pillar but it easily could have been a human being."

The actress claimed that she deserves the Rs 50 crore compensation because of the trauma she has endured.
