Ever since the time Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput passed away, the one person who was under the radar and under almost everyone’s scrutiny was actress Rhea Chakraborty. In a short span of time, she found herself in the list of most hated people, wherein hate was pouring in from all the sides. This was followed by a series of investigations, which eventually led to her brother and she being taken into custody for a few days, post which, she was released on bail.

Even though Rhea Chakraborty has let the bygones be bygones and has moved away confidently, leaving her past behind, the bitter memories of the ordeal still remain with the lady, who is now seen as one of the gang leaders in the Sonu Sood hosted reality show Roadies. In a recent interview with Humans of Bombay, Rhea Chakraborty recalled her ordeal about the entire episode.

Even though Rhea was confident, one could fathom the pain in her voice as she said that, “Jhukna nahi hai, rona nahi hai, tootna nahi hai…. (Not to bow down, not to cry and not to be broken). Fight till the very end. You have to take a bullet… you have to take it in your chest. I remember looking at myself in the mirror and saying (to myself), that ‘You are scared naa..?” To which, it almost felt like the mirror said yes”.

She added, “There were investigations every day. There was media and mobs under my building constantly. It required a lot of strength to even make it to the investigation, because I was scared that something would happen on the way”.

Recalling her jail ordeal, Rhea said that jail was actually a very different world, because there was no society in jail as everyone was just like a number, where one had to survive each day, and each day felt like a year. She recalled, “I remember this day so clearly… After everything was over, I remember standing in my living room and I was like… This family is finished… we are not even zero now, we are at minus”.

She also added that, post the incident, she realised who her true friends were. In the same breath, she added that she has not forgiven everybody. Amidst all this, she also fired a salvo by stating, “Some people are on my hit list”!
