RC 16: Buchi Babu Sana drops major update on Ram Charan's next, shares photo with AR Rahman

It was just a couple of days ago that iconic star Ram Charan announced that he had wrapped up shooting for the long-delayed film Game Changer, directed by S. Shankar. Now, it looks like the actor will soon begin prepping for his role in director Buchi Babu Sana’s upcoming film RC 16.

Recently, the Uppena-fame director took to his social media handles to post a delightful picture with composer AR Rahman and cinematographer Ratnavelu, who are part of the upcoming sports drama. The trio were apparently at the prestigious Firdaus Studio in Dubai for the movie’s pre-production work. As per reports, RC 16 is set to begin its first schedule next month, August 2024. Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar in RC 16

Recently, on Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar’s birthday, the makers of RC 16 welcomed the actor onboard with a special poster. The first-look poster of Shivarajkumar revealed a side profile of the actor, promising a gritty and intense role for the superstar in the Ram Charan-starrer. The makers revealed that the actor will be ‘essaying a pivotal role that resonates with his stature.’ The Kannada superstar had also confirmed his involvement in the project. Incidentally, RC 16 marks Shivarajkumar’s Telugu acting debut as well.

Rumoured to be titled Peddi (official confirmation awaited), the upcoming film is billed as a sports drama and is presented by Mythri Movie Makers, with Venkata Satish Kilaru bankrolling it under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas. The movie was earlier officially launched with a grand puja ceremony, which was attended by the lead actors and technicians associated with the film. 

Bollywood diva Janhvi Kapoor will be playing the female lead in the film, while Malayalam actor Antony Varghese Pepe of RDX fame and Bollywood actor Bobby Deol are rumoured to be part of the star cast. More details about the film will be disclosed soon.
