Raveena Tandon reveals how an insecure actress had her boyfriend drop her from his films, here's what happened next

There is no shortage of stories in Bollywood about actresses getting replaced in films without notice. Raveena Tandon while talking about her career in the ‘90s was asked in an interview if she was ever replaced and never informed about it. The actress said that she has only ever been intentionally replaced in projects and spoke about an incident where an insecure actress had her actor boyfriend dump her from his film.

Raveena was talking to Siddharth Kannan for an interview where she said, “I was replaced intentionally because this girl did not like me, was insecure about me. She was dating a hero at that time and forced him to replace me because we were a hit pair, forced him to replace me with other heroines so I lost out on one, two films on that account. Then she pressurized another favourite hero of mine to replace me from another movie.

The Aranyak actress revealed how the second hero came and told her that the girl in question had come and wept in front of him and the director and questioned him for signing Raveena for the project. He also told the actress how he and the director felt they owed her some loyalty.

Talking further Raveena revealed how karma eventually got to the makers and the girl dumped both the actor and the film and he came back to her asking her to save the project.

“Thode time baad she dumped the hero jiske saath replace kiya. He came to me ki, ‘yaar uski film thi, please abhi mere liye kar de, who beech mein chod ke chali gayi’ (Some time later she dumped the hero in whose film she got me replaced. He came to me saying ‘it was her film, please do it for me now she left in the middle’),” Raveena added.

Last seen in the Netflix web series, Aranyak, Raveena will be seen next in the movie K.G.F. Chapter 2 playing a politician, she is also said to be in talks for a slice of life film with Sanjay Dutt .
