Rashmika Mandanna is basking in the success of her movie Animal. The movie is raging a storm at the box office and her chemistry with Ranbir Kapoor is also being loved by the masses. However, it seems like there is no stopping for the actress as she has already started shooting for her next project. Rashmika has begun filming for the movie, The Girlfriend.
The Varisu actress will be shooting for the movie in Hyderabad for the next 20 days. This will also mark her 24th film in a glorious career spanning seven years. The Girlfriend is touted to be a romantic flick. According to a news report in India Today, Rashmika will be the solo lead in the movie which also has a tint of thriller. The film will be directed by Rahul Ravindran and will be bankrolled by Allu Arvind’s Geetha Arts for their 51st film. The principal photography of The Girlfriend is expected to go off soon.
Today (December 5), the Dear Comrade actress took to her Instagram stories to share a blurred picture from the airport. Rashmika captioned the same stating, “And finally now it's Mumbai (aeroplane emoji) Hyderabad. For about 20 days my loves (heart emoji). Starting 'The Girlfriend' tomorrow.. Talking about her role in Animal, Rashmika plays Ranbir’s wife Geetanjali. Initially, due to her viral scene in the movie, she was trolled brutally for her dialogue delivery. However, after watching the film, her performance has been appreciated by the masses. The movie has been helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and is all set to cross the Rs 300 crore mark at the Indian box office.
Apart from The Girlfriend, Rashmika will also be seen in the much-awaited Pushpa 2. She will be reprising her role as Allu Arjun’s love interest Srivalli. She also has films like Rainbow, D 51, and Chhaava in the pipeline.
