Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh never shy away from expressing their love for each other, be it in real life or on social media. Deepika, who announced that she will be expecting her first child in September this year, will be seen next in Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi film Kalki2898 AD. The makers of the film released the poster of the film featuring the leading lady which caught the attention of her husband Ranveer Singh. Sharing the poster on his Instagram stories, Ranveer called Deepika ‘the queen of the big screen.’

Taking to Instagram stories, Ranveer Singh shared the poster of Deepika’s upcoming film Kalki2898 AD. Along with the poster image, he wrote, ‘the queen of the big screen.’
Earlier, Deepika had shared the poster image of her character from Kalki2898 AD on her social media handle. Reacting to the post, Ranveer commented, “B O O M, stunner!” Deepika captioned the post, “The hope begins with her.”
In the poster, Deepika is seen wearing dark-coloured, rugged clothes, and sports a short hairdo. Deepika’s friends and colleagues from the industry also expressed their excitement for the upcoming film. Sobhita Dhulipala wrote, “W-O-W,” while Saiyami Kher commented fire emoji.
According to reports, the actress will be essaying the role of Padma, the reincarnation of the goddess Lakshmi. Though the makers have not confirmed this information, the poster image has generated enough buzz among the audience.
Kalki2898 AD cast
Helmed by Nag Ashwin, the Kalki 2898 AD trailer will be released on June 10 and the film will have a worldwide release on June 27, 2024. Alongside Deepika, the film stars Prabhas who will be playing the role of Bhairava, the alter-ego of the Kalki avatar, while actor Amitabh Bachchan is set to appear in the role of the immortal Ashwatthama in Kalki 2898 AD. South star Kamal Haasan, who will be portraying the antagonist of the film, recently wrapped up the dubbing work for his portions.
