    Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor is all set to impress the audience with his portrayal of Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming film Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Now, the makers have revealed that the first part of the epic drama film will be released on Diwali 2026, while the second part will hit the theatres on Diwali 2027.

    The makers of Ramayana shared a poster revealing the release date of the two parts. While the first part will be released in theatres on Diwali 2026, the second part will premiere on Diwali 2027. The mystic poster features a golden bow with a background featuring multiple stars.

    For those unaware, the shooting for the Nitesh Tiwari directorial film began this year and is reported to be made under a budget of Rs 835 crore.

    Speaking about the film, a source told Bollywood Hungama, "Ramayana is not just a film but an emotion and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make it a global spectacle. The USD 100 Million ( Rs 835 crore) budget is just for Ramayana: Part One. He (Namit Malhotra) plans to expand this further as the franchise grows. The idea is to take the audience on a visual treat with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram."

    Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Said Pallavi as Sita. Lara Dutta will portray the role of Kaikayi while Sunny Deol will feature as Lord Hanuman. The film will also feature Sheeba Chaddha as Manthara, Amitabh Bachchan as Jatayu, Ravi Dubey as Laxman, Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha, Arun Govil as Dashrath, and Harman Baweja as Vibhishan.

    It is also reported that the epic of Ramayana will be portrayed in a trilogy with the first film focusing on Ram and Sita up until Sita's abduction by Raavan, the second being a standalone on Hanuman led by Sunny Deol. However, the reports are not confirmed.
