Ranbir Kapoor feels he is too old for romantic comedy films, says THIS movie will be his last

Ranbir Kapoor has been part of several romantic comedy dramas over his career spanning more than a decade. From Bachna Ae Haseeno, Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani to Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, he has ruled millions of hearts with his romance and comic timing. But, now the actor wants to put a full stop to this movie genre as he feels he is too old for these kinds of roles.

The actor recently attended the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He flaunted his new look with a heavy beard and long hair at the event. In his recent interaction with Deadline, he opened up about his upcoming projects, roles, and many more. He was also quoted as saying that his upcoming untitled romantic comedy with Shraddha Kapoor will be his last film in the genre. Citing the reasons, he stated, "I don't know it is probably going to be one of the last romantic comedies I do because I am getting older."

The upcoming romantic comedy is directed by Luv Ranjan , who has delivered hits like Pyaar Ka Punchnama, and Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety among others. The film marks Ranbir’s first collaboration with Shraddha. The movie’s title is expected to be revealed the next week in a special announcement video according to the Pinkvilla reports. The film is slated to hit theatres in 2023. Besides it, Ranbir has Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol.

On the personal front, Ranbir recently embraced fatherhood as he welcomed a baby girl with his wife Alia Bhatt. He was blessed with the little one on November 6 this year. His wife recently announced the name of her daughter as Raha Kapoor with an adorable family picture.
