    Following the devastating landslide that struck the Mundakkai region of Kerala's Wayanad district earlier this week, many celebrities have come forward to help those affected. Several Telugu actors also appealed for assistance and made contributions to help the needy.

    Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi expressed his grief on social media, stating that he and his son Ram Charan were deeply pained by the tragic loss of lives in the Wayanad landslide. On his social media handles, he wrote, “Deeply distressed by the devastation and loss of hundreds of precious lives in Kerala due to nature’s fury in the last few days. My heart goes out to the victims of the Wayanad tragedy. Charan and I together are contributing Rs 1 Crore to the Kerala CM Relief Fund as a token of our support to the victims. My prayers for the recovery of all those in pain!” 

    Allu Arjun pledges Rs 25 lakh

    Earlier, South star Allu Arjun also pledged Rs 25 lakh to the Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund. Expressing his anguish, the actor penned a note to help the people of Kerala, who have showered him with ‘so much love’. He wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the recent landslide in Wayanad. Kerala has given me so much love, and I want to do my bit by donating 25 lakh rupees to the Kerala CM Relief Fund to support the rehabilitation work. Praying for your safety and strength.”

    Celebrities appeal for help

    Many celebrities have been making contributions to the rehabilitation efforts. Mollywood superstar Mohanlal visited the landslide-hit region of Wayanad in Kerala and donated Rs 3 crore for rehabilitation works. Megastar Mammootty made a significant contribution through his charitable trust, which is actively involved in delivering essential supplies to those affected by the tragedy. The megastar’s charitable trust sent a convoy to Wayanad carrying food, medicines, clothes, and other essentials needed by the survivors. He also stood in solidarity with the victims and expressed his anguish when he was awarded the Best Actor award at the Filmfare Awards recently.  

    Several stars from across industries have been proactive in spreading the word to help the victims of the Kerala landslide tragedy.
