    After having started off as an actor, Rakesh Roshan gradually progressed towards filmmaking. As a director, he has directed many films Aap Ke Deewane, Kaamchor, Bhagwaan Dada, Khudgarz, Khoon Bhari Maang, Karan Arjun, Krrish 3 and others.

    In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Rakesh Roshan said (read ‘announced’) that he will be giving up direction! In his words, he said, “I don't think so I'll be directing any further. But I'll surely be announcing Krrish 4 very soon”.

    Readers may recall that, a few months ago this year, there was a picture post of Hrithik Roshan in his famous Krrish costume. What really got and caught the attention of everyone is the caption that stated, ‘He's coming back… Yup he is’.

    While on one hand, Rakesh Roshan will no longer be directing films, but he will be actively involved with the films, but as a producer. The recent days have seen him announcing the re-release of some of his evergreen films. These films include Karan Arjun (which will be released this week on November 22).

    In the aforesaid interview, Rakesh Roshan had said, “Every film might not work. But surely, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai is also going to complete 25 years in January (2025). This (Karan Arjun) was also in January, but I couldn't put the two films together so I pre-poned this release. And there are many films releasing in January”.

    In the same interview, when Rakesh Roshan was asked whether Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan charge reasonably (for the film Karan Arjun), the filmmaker replied, “Yes. Then, there were relatively new and upcoming stars. Nevertheless, it was a big-budget film for me. It was mounted on a huge scale”.

    Besides Karan Arjun being re-released, there are also reports that, Rakesh Roshan is also planning to re-release yet another evergreen film of his in the form of - Khoon Bhari Maang, which starred Rekha and Kabir Bedi in the leading roles.
