In a heartfelt tribute, Rajinikanth called Ramoji his "mentor" while sharing his condolences. "I am deeply saddened on hearing the demise of my mentor and well-wisher Shri Ramoji Rao Garu. It's unclear at the moment whether Rajinikanth will visit Ramoji's residence in Hyderabad to pay his last respects in person.

Ramoji Rao, the founder of the ETV network, was rushed to a private hospital in Hyderabad on Friday evening after his health deteriorated. The 87-year-old media mogul passed away during the early hours of Saturday.

The most influential people from across the country have expressed their condolences for the passing of Ramoji. The Telugu film industry has also decided to stop shooting for the entire day on Sunday as a mark of respect for the departed.

Ramoji's mortal remains have been kept at his residence at the Ramoji Film City for people to pay their respects. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has announced that Ramoji's final rites will be held with full state honours.

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli became emotional while paying his tribute to Ramoji. He also advocated for the Bharat Ratna for Ramoji. "The only way we can pay tribute to Ramoji Rao garu is by conferring him with BHARAT RATNA," said Rajamouli in a condolence message.

Telugu superstar Allu Arjun seconded Rajamouli's demand and thanked him for initiating this conversation. "I had the same feeling in my heart, sir. You spoke my heart. Thank you for voicing it," he said.
