Dhanush’s upcoming film Raayan is gearing up for its worldwide release on June 26, 2024. With less than a month until its release, the makers have already begun the promotions for the film, with cast members sharing their experiences of working on the Dhanush-directed gangster drama.
Actor S. J. Suryah is playing a pivotal role in the film and is set to share screen space with the Tamil star. S. J. Suryah, who has been busy promoting his upcoming film Indian 2, opened up about his experiences on the sets of Raayan.
The actor, who is a director himself, heaped praise on Dhanush and commended his directorial skills. The actor said, “I had the great opportunity to work in his (Dhanush’s) film. He has a great command over camera moves, conception, writing dialogues, writing lyrics, and extracting performances from the actors, and so on."
He added, “Raayan is not entirely focused on one character; rather, all the characters in the film have equal importance. Dushara Vijayan has done a very good job in the film. Her character will be appreciated first; Dhanush’s role will come second to hers, and then mine.”
Although the makers had earlier unveiled the first look poster of S. J. Suryah from Raayan, they have been tight-lipped about his character in the film. However, it is largely speculated that the actor is playing the main antagonist in the movie.
Third single from Raayan to release soon
Meanwhile, the makers of the Dhanush directorial announced that the third single from Raayan, titled 'Raayan Rumble,' will be released on July 5, 2024. Earlier, the makers had released the songs 'Water Packet' and 'Adangadha Asuran' from the film. With the release date of the film nearing, the musical promotions are going swiftly.

Directed by Dhanush, the upcoming gangster drama also features Kalidas Jayaram, Sundeep Kishan, Dushara Vijayan, Prakash Raj, S. J. Suryah, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Aparna Balamurali in prominent roles. The film is written and directed by Dhanush and marks the actor’s second directorial project. The movie is slated to have a theatrical release on June 26, 2024.
