These are the days of Bollywood films being re-released. Till now, there have been many films which are being and have been re-released on the silver screen in theatres! And to everyone’s surprise and also to the happiness of the films’ makers, these films are faring exceedingly well.
The latest to join the list of Bollywood films being re-released is the superhit musical of the nineties titled ‘Tum Bin’. The film will be re-releasing tomorrow (Friday, Spetmeber 20) in theatres.
For the unversed, the film Tum Bin happens to be an ultra-romantic one, which has been directed by Anubhav Sinha and starred Priyanshu Chatterjee, Sandali Sinha, Himanshu Malik, Raqesh Bapat (who plays Amar Shah), and Amrita Prakash in the leading roles.
One of the many USPs that the film boasted about was the poignant narration along with soulful music has made this a cult classic, hitting almost all ages with its immense yet long-term power of human connection. The story is that of a love story gone wrong because of a silly misunderstanding but ultimately redeemed due to loss.
The film’s premise revolved around the lives of Amar Shah who passes away in an accidental death, while his Canada-based Shah Industries becomes on the verge of collapse. Needleless to say, the untimely and sudden death of Amar Shah leaves his fiancée Pia Varma (who also happens to be the Managing Director of Shah Industries) totally devastated. What happens to Pia and will she be able to resurrect everything is what forms the rest of the story.
While the film has been written and directed by Anubhav Sinha, it has been produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar. Here, not just the music composed by Nikhil-Vinay, but also the lyrics penned by Faaiz Anwar deserves and demands a special mention.
