Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' daughter named Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, birth details revealed in certificate

Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas had earlier revealed on January 21 that they have welcomed their first child via surrogacy. While the couple had not divulged the gender of their baby, it was soon revealed that they have become parents to a baby girl. Now the name of their baby girl has been unveiled to be Malti Marie Chopra Jonas .

According to a news report in TMZ, they managed to obtain the birth certificate of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ daughter where her name was revealed to be Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. The report further stated that the certificate mentioned the child to be born on January 15, right after 8 pm in California. Reportedly the name Malti means ‘moonlight or small fragrant flower.’

However, there has been no confirmation regarding the same from the couple. It seems that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have continued to honor both traditions of their lineage even while naming their daughter. This must be the reason why they kept their newborn daughter’s name as a Hindu one and her middle name Marie. Well, fans might be super excited now to hear the same from the couple and for them to showcase a glimpse of their little munchkin.

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra had taken to their social media handle to share a mutual message in January where they had stated, “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much.”

Priyanka Chopra’s mother Madhu Chopra had sometime back spoken about the same at an event in Mumbai. She had expressed her happiness about becoming a grandmother. However, she had hinted that their family Pandit is yet to name the child.
