Prabhas starrer Adipurush's release date is now postponed to June 16, 2023 after heavy backlash over the VFX

Ever since the first posters and finally the teaser of Prabhas ’ Adipurush was showcased to the masses, what followed was a severe backlash over the poor VFX and the execution of the final product. Now, amidst this criticism, the makers of the film have now postponed the release date of the film to June 16, 2023. For the unversed, the film was earlier supposed to be released on January 12, 2023.

Talking about the same, the director of Adipurush Om Raut released an official statement regarding the same. The statement read, “Jai Shree Ram. Adipurush is not a film but a representation of our devotion to Prabhu Shri Ram and commitment towards our Sanskriti and history. In order to give a complete visual experience to the viewers, we need to give more time to the teams working on this film. Adipurush will now release on June 16th,2023. Raghukul Reet Sada Chali Ayi, Pran Jaye Par Vachan Na Jaye. We are committed to make a film that India will be proud of. Your support, love and blessings is what keeps us going – Om Raut.” Take a look at the same.

The teaser of Adipurush was released during Dussehra in October and ever since then, the film was heavily criticized and also started a meme fest on social media. Some netizens were so enraged by the poor quality VFX on the movie that they considered it to be an insult to Lord Ram and called for a ban on the movie. Speculations were doing the rounds for some time now that the film might get delayed when it comes to the release as the makers have to once again work on some portions of the film which will also cost an additional Rs 100 crore. Talking about the film, it also stars Saif Ali Khan , Sunny Singh, and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles.
