Prabhas calls Kalki 2898 AD his biggest career achievement yet because of this reason

Telugu superstar Prabhas seems to be still struggling to believe that he had the opportunity to share screen space with India's iconic movie stars Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan in his upcoming movie Kalki 2898 AD. In a recent interview, he described this as the biggest milestone in his career.

“I never thought I would work with people like Amitabh Sir and Kamal Sir, let alone in one film. When I heard, I called the producer and said, ‘What are you giving me? This is an achievement beyond anything,’” Prabhas told Deadline.

Prabhas claimed that Kalki 2898 AD has been designed to appeal to audiences worldwide, not just in India, justifying its whopping Rs 600 crore budget. At this cost, this film is one of the, if not the, costliest films ever made in India.

Since the global success of the Baahubali franchise, Prabhas has been involved in only mammoth-sized projects. However, Kalki 2898 AD remains the biggest film in his career in terms of scale and scope. The filmmakers have planned an innovative promotional strategy to reach diverse audiences globally.

Recently, the filmmakers also announced an animated series based on Prabhas's character Bhairava from the movie.

Considering Prabhas's massive fan following within India and his growing popularity in other countries, the producers are confident of scoring a big hit at the box office.

Prabhas expressed deep gratitude to his fans, talking about the unconditional love people shower on him. “In the South especially, [the fans] feel like you are their family. They feel everything. Sometimes they feel like you are their son, the kids feel like you are their brother. Sometimes they feel like you are God. So whatever is said and done, I will be very careful that I will not cheat them,” he remarked.

Kalki 2898 AD is set to hit the screens on June 27.
