Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba: What to expect from Taapsee Pannu's twisted tale of love

Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey are all to feature in the sequel film of Haseen Dillruba titled Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba with the newest addition of Sunny Kaushal to the star cast. The thriller drama film picks up from the ending of the first film and brings a new love angle into the storyline. Thrilling chase

The film ended with a climax showcasing Rani (played by Taapsee) and Rishu (played by Vikrant) reuniting in a different city and deceiving the police with their plan. The trailer of Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba showcases that the police have tracked down Rani and want to find Rishu. Now, Rani, who is in the public eye, must keep her secret hidden while being chased by the police.

Jimmy Shergill as a cop

Neel’s uncle, played by actor Jimmy Shergill, also enters the narrative and is behind Rani to uncover the truth behind Neel’s disappearance. In the trailer, Jimmy says that he will ask all the questions because the case is now personal to him.

Entry of Abhimanyu

While it is established from the first film that the love story of Rani and Rishu is not a typical romantic tale and the two can go to any lengths to prove their love to each other, the sequel film will add a twist to their love story with the introduction of a new character. Abhimanyu, played by Sunny, becomes a part of this love triangle bringing more chaos and adventure to the storyline.

A new love story

The love affair of Abhimanyu and Rani is one worth waiting for. While Rani is keeping her secret hidden, Abhimanyu falls head over heels for his lady love. The trailer also showcases that after coming face to face with Rishu, Abhimanyu is willing to go against him for the sake of his love.

Dangerous avatar of Rishu

After Rishu gets to know about Rani’s love affair with Abhimanyu, he gets unhinged and plans on attacking Rani and Abhimanyu. In one of the scenes from the trailer, Rani even goes to the police and admits that her husband will kill her.

Helmed by Jayprad Desai, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, starring Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal, will release on August 9 on Netflix.
