Fans of Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan will have to wait longer than expected for the theatrical release of his upcoming film OG. The release is likely to be postponed as the focus has now shifted to completing the remaining production of Hari Hara Veera Mallu.

The producers of Hari Hara Veera Mallu expressed in a press note their plans to quickly wrap up the pending work on the period drama. They aim to have the film ready for release during the Christmas holiday.

According to reports, the producers have brought in young director Jyothi Krishna to handle the direction for the remaining portions, while seasoned filmmaker Krish Jagarlamudi will oversee the production.

Leading cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa has been roped in to replace Gnana Shekar V.S. The project has been in the making for more than four years and has faced multiple delays due to various reasons.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu went on the floors in 2019 but came to a halt due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Following this, the filming faced further delays due to the non-availability of Pawan Kalyan.

Pawan had put his film commitments on hold to focus exclusively on his political aspirations. He became very busy with election campaigning for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, causing all his upcoming projects to be delayed.

With the seven phases of elections finally over in India and results to be announced on June 4, Pawan seems ready to complete his film commitments.

While the production of Hari Hara Veera Mallu will be fast-tracked, the release of his other movie OG will be delayed. The film, bankrolled by DVV Entertainment, was initially expected to hit the screens on September 27. However, that now looks very unlikely. An official confirmation on the same is awaited.
