Parineeti Chopra remembers Rishi Kapoor and 'favourite co-star' Sushant Singh Rajput as Shuddh Desi Romance turns 10

Parineeti Chopra celebrated her 2013 movie, Shuddh Desi Romance, as it clocked ten years on Wednesday. She cherished heartwarming moments from the romantic comedy-drama that featured her alongside Sushant Singh Rajput, Vaani Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor. The actress also penned a heartfelt note for late actors Sushant and Rishi alongside a video post that captured BTS scenes from the movie.
Shuddh Desi Romance, backed by Aditya Chopra, follows the journey of three restless young people who junk society's syllabus to find love and decide to follow their heart. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the film was made on a budget of approximately Rs 22 crore and fared well at the box office. Sushant, Parineeti and Vaani’s performance also received appreciation from critics. Rishi had a supporting role in the film.
Taking to Instagram, Parineeti wrote, “Time really flies! A decade to this film but the memories are still fresh. This movie was a journey full of laughter, hectic shoots but heartwarming moments. What an experience shooting this film with such legendary actors. Rishi sir we miss you. Sushant, miss you even more. You were one of my favourite co stars.” Soon after, fans chimed in to drop heartfelt tribute to Sushant and cherish the romantic comedy-drama. “The charm of this movie was God level... For the unversed, Rishi Kapoor passed away in April 2020 after a long battle with cancer. On the other hand, Sushant was found dead, hanging from the ceiling fan in his room in Bandra, in June 2020. Meanwhile, Parineeti was last seen in Uunchai alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher and Boman Irani. She will next feature in Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila co-starring Diljit Dosanjh. On the personal front, she is set to tie the knot with her politician fiance Raghav Chadha on September 23 in Rajasthan as per reports.
