The Vaccine War is speculated to revolve around India’s contribution to producing a Covid-19 vaccine during the pandemic.
After the huge success of The Kashmir Files , filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri is geared up for his next directorial, The Vaccine War . As many social media users trolled the filmmaker alleging he is making a ‘propaganda’ film with clear intentions of earning money. “Another Mamoo making Project” wrote one of the users, another commented, “kashmir files se jyada bdi bdi fekega is movie me lgta hai.” One of them stated, “Ek aur zaher lekr araha hai yh desh me.” Another added, “Paisa kamana hai bs isko aur kuch nhi.” Check out the reactions here:
The Vaccine War is speculated to revolve around India’s contribution to producing a Covid-19 vaccine during the pandemic. The poster shows a vaccine vial with the film title printed on it. “A war you didn’t know you fought. And won.” reads the tagline. The film will be backed by The Kashmir Files producer Abhishek Aggarwal. Earlier, Agnihotri had announced that he will direct the second installment in his anthology series of films based on recent Indian history. The Vaccine War seemed to be its follow-up. The filmmaker also announced The Delhi Files, which will be reportedly based on the anti-Sikh riots of 1984. It is slated for a 2024 release.
Meanwhile, The Kashmir Files is Agnihotri’s biggest blockbuster of his career. The film earned around Rs 350 crore at the global box office and emerged to be one of the biggest Bollywood hits of 2022. Though it was a commercial success, it faced flak for misrepresenting facts and propagating communal hate from many people.
