Tabu is one of the rare talents who has changed the game for female actresses in the Hindi film industry. She made her acting debut with the 1982 film Bazaar and went on to carve her own niche in the mainstream as well as parallel cinema. She led some of the powerful female characters that helped empower the Hindi cinema for actresses who were reduced to prancing around trees. She did some off-beat roles in Maachis (1996), Astitva (2000), Virasat (1997), Chandni Bar (2001), Cheeni Kum (2007), and Maqbool (2003). And still continue to rule the industry with movies like Andhadhun, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Jawani Jaaneman, and many more.
Up next, Tabu will be seen in Drishyam 2 alongside Ajay Devgn, Shriya Sharma, and Akshaye Khanna. Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film is a remake of the 2021 Malayalam film of the same name and also the sequel to Drishyam. She is also busy shooting for Ajay Devgn’s directorial Bholaa. She also has Vishal Bhardwaj’s Kuttey and Khufiya in the pipeline.
