Not Thalapathy Vijay but THIS young actor played his younger character in The GOAT; can you guess?
While the younger version of Thalapathy Vijay is being celebrated by the masses, did you know that another actor had played the role, which was later altered to resemble Vijay's facial features using de-aging technology? Find out here!
Vijay's de-aged look in The GOAT
While everyone has been praising director Venkat Prabhu for featuring a younger version of Thalapathy Vijay in his latest sci-fi action thriller The Greatest of All Time, did you know that the younger version was actually played by another actor? Here's everything about the young man behind the de-aged version of Thalapathy Vijay!
De-aging technology at its finest for The GOAT
To everyone’s surprise, when a younger version of Thalapathy appeared in the movie's second half, people were curious to know more about the making of the character. Although the character was digitally de-aged, the younger version was not played by Vijay himself. Instead, Kollywood actor Ayaz Khan stepped into the role.
Ayaz recently took to his social media pages to express his gratitude to Venkat Prabhu, Vijay, and the whole team for offering him such a significant opportunity. He wrote, “Very happy to be a part of this amazing project @venkat_prabhu. Thank you, sir, for your appreciation of my acting and for how you acknowledged my acting videos. I still remember how you introduced me to Mohan sir. It was a goosebumps moment, sir. It was a super experience, and I learned a lot from you. Once again, thank you so much, sir.”
As reported earlier, Venkat Prabhu had sought the help of AI and digital de-aging technology to portray the dual roles of father and son. It has also been reported that the team spent a whopping Rs 6 crore on the de-aging process.
