    Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 has made a massive opening collection of Rs 40 crore at the box office. Actress Kangana Ranaut celebrated the humongous response to the movie in her Instagram story. Sharing a video of the masses outside the theatres for Gadar 2, the actress said that had it been a solo release the movie would have easily crossed Rs 65 to 70 crores at the box office.

    Kangana went on to add that Gadar 2 achieved this feat without buying reviews and mafia politics. “No Mafia politics, no bought reviews no fake propaganda, no buying of tickets through bulk corporate bookings no cartoon-looking actors, proper manly hero and proper massy content.     Earlier, superstar Salman Khan gave a shout to Sunny Deol’s film on his Instagram handle. Sharing the poster of Gadar 2, he wrote, “Dhai kilo ka haath equals chalis cr ki opening. Sunny paaji is killing it. Congrats to the entire team of Gadar 2.” Kangana re-shared his post on her Insrta story and captioned it with clapping hand emojis. Meanwhile, Gadar 2 is the sequel to the 2001 blockbuster film of the same name. Directed by Anil Sharma, Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma reprised their roles of Tara Singh, Sakina and Charanjeet respectively in the movie. The film was released on August 11, 2023, along with Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2.

    Meanwhile, Kangana is set to feature in Chandramukhi 2, the first look poster of which has been unveiled. Directed by P. Vasu, the Tamil-language comedy horror film also stars Raghava Lawrence, Vadivelu, Srushti Dange and Lakshmi Menon. It is scheduled to release on September 19, 2023.
