Newlywed Parineeti Chopra's kaliras symbolize her love story with Raghav Chadha; feature a coffee mug, London bus
Parineeti Chopra's Kaliras embodied all her special moments spent with husband Raghav Chadha in the form of special motifs like a coffee mug, a red London bus etc.
Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha tied the knot in the fairytale wedding ceremony in Udaipur on Sunday. The couple dropped delightful pictures from their dreamy in which the two look resplendent in designer attires. What caught the major attention was the bride’s Kaliras which epitomized their tale of love. It had special motifs including the symbol of Ek Onkar, the Punjab milestone, the couple’s initials, a red London bus, a telephone booth, and musical ornaments.
Parineeti and Raghav knew each other for several years as both studied in London. The duo met while the actor was studying in London, that’s where their friendship began. Their love story only began when Parineeti was filming Chamkila last year in Punjab. The bride’s Kaliras embodies all those moments in the form of special motifs like a coffee mug, a red London bus etc. Designer Mrinalini Chandra who designed the bespoke Kaliras revealed that it was inspired by Parineeti’s vision and discerning eye that made the creative process a true delight.
“The story of Parineeti & Raghav is truly a modern-day fairytale, the most organic and beautiful coming together of two worlds that are wide apart yet equally complex. She chose each and every element, ensuring that they symbolize her journey with Raghav in the most love-filled way.” said the designer while sharing the Kaliras design on Instagram. The design of these Kaliras is very special. Each motif represents a moment of serendipity, a chance encounter when their paths crossed in a cosmic dance,” she added. For the unversed, Mrinalini had earlier \designed customized kaleeras for Sonam Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, and Alia Bhatt.
Parineeti and Raghav got married at Leela Palace, Udaipur in the presence of their families and friends. Public figures like Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, fashion designer Manish Malhotra, Tennis player Sania Mirza, and cricketer Harbhajan Singh among others graced the big fat wedding. Among family members, cousin Priyanka Chopra gave it a miss, however, her mother Madhu Chopra made it to all the functions.
Meanwhile, the newlywed couple is set to host two separate receptions for actors and politicians. The reception for politicians will take place in Delhi, and Parineeti will throw another reception for her Bollywood friends in Mumbai.
