Netizens upset as they spot Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 poster heavily inspired by Stranger Things 2

The internet is definitely one place where nothing can be hidden or concealed. There is no looking back for anything… absolutely anything! And, from its treasure chest of information and knowledge, it’s only a child’s play to dig out the reply that we want. The latest example of this is the film poster of the upcoming Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2. Just as when everyone was busy writing about the film or interviewing the film’s star, one netizen took a deep plunge into the internet and came out with something which has really shocked many.

A user on Reddit discovered (or is it uncovered?) that the film poster of the Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 bore an extremely uncanny resemblance to the Hollywood hit series Stranger Things 2, which stars a host of stars including Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer and others.

Right from the film poster’s design to the colours used in it, both the posters look extremely similar! When the same was pointed out on the internet, there were many netizens who seemed a tad upset about the whole thing. While one user wrote, ‘The makers spend so many crores on the publicity of the film. The least they could have done was to hire a ‘dhang-ka agency’ who would have come up with a great design.

There was another user who wrote, ‘I just did not expect this from the makers of Stree 2. I was so very happy with the way things had shaped up. I was on the verge of booking the first day, first show of the film. But, now, it seems, if the makers can copy the film’s poster, they can do anything as well. Now, what is the guarantee that the film’s makers must not have copied the film’s plot!

As for the film Stree 2, besides Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, it also stars the veteran actor Pankaj Tripathi along with Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana and others. While the film has been directed by Amar Kaushik, it has been produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande. The film will be releasing all over on August 15.
