    Nayanthara makes Karinkaliyalle reel

To promote her period sanitary pad brand Femi9, the actress hopped on to make an Instagram reel on the 'Karinkaliyalle' trend, which was popularised by Fahadh Faasil’s character Ranga from Aavesham. The new reel was posted by a close acquaintance of Nayanthara with a caption that read, “Not the trend, but the truth. Fun time at work with @nayanthara and @femi9official .. This is how our period cycle feels with and without Femi9. Girls.. try it and you’ll know what we’re talking about!”

Nayanthara’s husband and director Vignesh Shivan also reposted the reel and wrote, “Our life with and without Femi9.”

    Ranga’s Karinkaliyalle reel

The viral trend originated from a scene in the film Aavesham, where Fahadh’s character Ranga peeks from behind a pillar, alternating between expressions of joy and anger. Ranga was making his version of the reel that went viral on social media in the movie. Ironically, in the film, Ranga seems upset about not getting enough likes for his Instagram reel featuring the song ‘Karinkaliyalle’. However, post the release of the film, Ranga’s wish was finally fulfilled, with social media getting flooded with several versions of the reel posted by people of all ages and from all walks of life, including celebrities.
