After much anticipation, Netflix has finally announced the release date of the documentary Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale. Featuring the love story of Jawan actress Nayanthara and her husband, Vignesh Shivan, the OTT platform shared on its official page that the eagerly awaited documentary will be released on November 18, 2024.
Nayanthara's documentary to release on Netflix
Sharing the announcement, Netflix wrote, "Thirai-layum natchathiram, vaazhkailayum natchathiram. Watch Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale on November 18, only on Netflix!" The long-delayed documentary is set to delve deep into the beloved duo’s fairytale wedding and love story.
Netflix had earlier announced that the documentary would have a runtime of 1 hour and 21 minutes. For the unversed, the couple’s wedding took place in 2022 in Mahabalipuram, Chennai. The documentary is directed by renowned filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon. The wedding was attended by many well-known personalities from the showbiz world, including Nayanthara’s Jawan co-star and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Tamil icon Rajinikanth, Malayalam actor Dileep, and others.
Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale
The teaser, released some time ago, hints at the beginning of their love story and promises to explore candid moments shared at the grand wedding. For those unfamiliar, the actress-director duo met during the filming of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, where they fell in love. After a whirlwind 7-year romance, they married in 2022 and were later blessed with twin boys, Uyir and Ulag.
Nayanthara’s upcoming projects
On the work front, Nayanthara's next appearance will be in the cricket-themed film Test, sharing the screen with R. Madhavan, Siddharth, and Meera Jasmine in lead roles. She is also filming her upcoming Malayalam movie, Dear Students, alongside Nivin Pauly. Additionally, the actress also has the Tamil film Mannangatti Since 1960.
Nayanthara in talks with Yash’s Toxic
Reports suggest that Nayanthara may make a cameo in Vignesh Shivan's directorial project LIC. She is also rumored to join the cast of the highly anticipated pan-Indian film Toxic, directed by Yash and Geethu Mohandas, although an official announcement is yet to be made.
