Nayanthara and Nazriya's meeting rekindles memories of Raja Rani’s Keerthana and Regina | Check out pics

It has been over a decade since Atlee’s debut film Raja Rani hit the big screens. Nayanthara and Nazriya, who played the female leads in the Tamil film, have finally caught up over a fun Sunday night! The cheerful pictures of their fun meeting are doing the rounds on social media.

Actress Nazriya took to her social media handles to share the fun meetup, posting a series of heartwarming photos from the South India’s favorite actresses’ get-together. Sharing the pictures online, Malayalam actress Nazriya wrote, “Finally ....And all love. What took us so long for this day?” 

Reposting Nazriya’s post, Nayanthara wrote, “@nazriyafahadh and FaFa loveeee n Loveeee only. Such a memorable night. U guys r the sweetesttt, cutest and besssttt.” 

The new photos also featured the actresses’ husbands —actor Fahadh Faasil and director Vignesh Shivan. Nazriya, along with her husband Fahadh Faasil, had met Nayanthara and her husband, Vignesh Shivan recently. Nazriya has done only a few films in Tamil, but quickly won the hearts of Tamil audiences through her memorable performances.

The new post has sparked huge buzz among netizens who are thrilled to see Keerthana and Regina from Raja Rani meet up after nearly a decade.

For the unversed, Nayanthara and Nazriya starred in director Atlee’s Tamil debut directorial Raja Rani, a romantic comedy-drama that also starred Arya and Jai as male leads. However, Nayanthara, who played Regina, and Nazriya, who essayed the role of Keerthana, never shared screen space in the film. Hence, the new post has delighted the fans of the Tamil romantic comedy-drama.

Nayanthara and Nazriya’s upcoming projects

On the work front, Nayanthara is gearing up for the release of her upcoming cricket-based film The Test, which is directed by S. Sashikanth. The film stars R Madhavan, Nayanthara, Siddharth, and Meera Jasmine in lead roles. Nayanthara also has Mannangatti Since 1960 in her lineup and is rumored to be making a cameo appearance in Vignesh Shivan’s directorial LIC. The actress was last seen in Annapoorani, which received a lukewarm response upon its release. 

Nazriya, on the other hand, had a successful run as a producer this year with her production venture Aavesham turning out to be a blockbuster at the box office. On the acting front, the actress was last seen in the Telugu film Ante Sundaraniki and will soon make a comeback to Malayalam cinema with the Basil Joseph-starrer Sookshmadarshini.
