Namrata Shirodkar pens special birthday note for sister Shilpa Shirodkar: 'Rooting for you to come home with the trophy'

Bigg Boss 18 contestant and actress Shilpa Shirodkar is celebrating her 51st birthday today (November 20). The Khuda Gawah actress is celebrating her birthday away from loved ones, inside the reality television show Bigg Boss 18. Marking the occasion, Shilpa’s sister and actress Namrata Shirodkar and her daughter Sitara Ghattamaneni shared heartfelt birthday posts on social media.

Namrata Shirodkar pens a heartfelt note for sister Shilpa

Taking to Instagram, former actress Namrata Shirodkar shared a heartfelt birthday post for her sister Shilpa. She shared a video featuring a collection of pictures of them over the years. The video features the song Just The Way You Are by Bruno Mars in the backdrop.

Calling her the best sister in the world, Namrata said she sees Shilpa every day on Bigg Boss 18. She wrote, “Happy Birthday to the bestest sister in the world @shilpashirodkar73 I am watching you everyday on #BiggBoss18 and you are rocking it!!! Rooting for you to come home with the trophy.”

Namrata’s daughter and Shilpa’s niece Sitara Ghattamaneni also shared a heartfelt birthday post for her ‘masi’ on social media. Sitara shared a video featuring pictures of Shilpa along with the Ghattamaneni family. She wrote, “Happiest Birthday to the superwoman, Shilpa mumma @shilpashirodkar73. It’s so much fun watching you in #BiggBoss18 and you’re playing so well!! Cheering for you always!”

For those unaware, Shilpa is the sister of former Bollywood actress Namrata Shirodkar and sister-in-law of Telugu star Mahesh Babu.

Before entering Bigg Boss 18, Shilpa spoke about Namrata’s reaction to her entering the show. She told The Times of India, “They are very happy for me. They are very proud of me and they just know that whatever I do, I'll do it myself. I know I'm going to make them very proud. As a family, we are a very close-knit family. They are very supportive of me.”

On the work front, Shilpa made her acting debut in 1989 with Ramesh Sippy’s film Bhrashtachar. The actress was crowned Miss India in 1992.
