The wedding festivities of actress Sobhita Dhulipala and Telugu star Naga Chaitanya have officially begun, with Sobhita's Pasupu Danchatam ceremony recently taking place in Hyderabad. Although the couple has been tight-lipped about the wedding date, the latest Telugu reports claim that they are planning to get married at the end of the year.

The couple is planning a winter wedding in the first week of December, according to sources. While fans are excited about this new chapter in their lives, an official announcement is still awaited.

The couple recently kicked off their wedding celebrations with the Pasupu Danchatam ceremony. For those unversed, the Godhuma Raayi Pasupu Danchatam is a traditional Telugu ritual that marks the start of the wedding festivities for the bride, groom, and their families. The ceremony, carried out by women, involves an elder woman from the groom's family presenting a Thamboolam and a coconut. Following this, five married women take turns grinding the ingredients into a fine powder. The turmeric powder is then used in the haldi (Pellikoduku and Pellikuthuru) ceremonies for both the bride and groom. This ritual signifies the beginning of the wedding festivities, after which the wedding preparations officially commence.

Sobhita, who recently announced the start of the wedding festivities on her social media pages, shared beautiful images from the ceremony, where she looked regal in a classic Telugu saree.

Interestingly, Sobhita Dhulipala attended the Godhuma Raayi ceremony in a stunning pink Kanjivaram silk saree, a gift from Lakshmi Daggubati, Naga Chaitanya's mother. Rather than choosing designer sarees, Sobhita opted to honor her future mother-in-law by wearing a saree that reflects traditional Telugu customs.

Hush-hush relationship timeline

After dating for a long time, Sobhita and Naga Chaitanya got engaged in a private ceremony in Hyderabad on August 8 this year. Rumors about their relationship began circulating in 2022, after Naga Chaitanya got separated from actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu in 2021.
