Munjya song Taras: Sharvari Wagh stuns with her dance moves but the track is marred by... | Watch
Sharvari Wagh will feature in Aditya Sarpotdar’s upcoming film Munjya, releasing in theatres on June 7. Watch the song Taras from the movie here.
Sharavari Wagh in Taras
Actress Sharvari Wagh is all set to feature in an experimental horror film titled Munjya, where an eerie creature called Munjya enters the civilisation and attacks people. After releasing the trailer and teaser of the film, the makers unveiled the first song of the film on May 27, showcasing Sharvari’s stunning dance moves. While the actress tries her level best to leave a mark, multiple jump cuts in editing just make it tough to appreciate her dance moves.
Munjya song Taras released
The makers of Munjya released the first song, titled Taras, starring Sharvari Wagh in her sensuous avatar. Sharing the song on the official Instagram handle of Zee Music Company, the caption read, “The hottest song of the season ft. @sharvari is here to make your playlist LIT.”
The trailer, which was released earlier, ended with Munjya entering a house and attacking the owner after he switched off the song Munni Badnaam, and Taras picks up from there. The song begins with a man asking Munjya, “Munjya ji ye wali Munni chalegi,” while peppy background music is playing in the background.
After showing its aggression, Munjya throws a photo frame on to the wall and the scene cuts to Sharvari’s close-up where she is wearing a sequined black ensemble, paired with nude lips and black smokey eye makeup.
Later, Sharvari raises the temperature by flaunting her sensuous and stunning moves. Amid the grand sets, Sharvari leaves a mark with her enchanting beauty and flexible moves.
The title of the track Taras is based on the lyric, “Taras ni aaya tujhko, khudgarz ye ishq tera samajh ni aaya mujhko (You did not feel pity and this selfish love of yours I did not understand).”
Taras reminds of Sunny Leone’s Baby Doll song?
A particular scene in the song where Sharvari is lying on the floor while the camera rotates in a circular motion reminded me of Sunny Leone from the song Baby Doll. However, the editing of the song was found to be problematic as multiple jump cuts do not let one keep focus as there are several glimmering things. Sharvari’s sequined dress, her clear green eyes and the shiny background sets – and with all of these coming together, it becomes too much to take in at one go! The song ends with a couple of clips about what is going to happen in the film. The clips hint that Munjya will attack Sharvari’s family in her house and take them to the forest.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Munjya, starring Sharvari Wagh, Abhay Verma, Mona Singh and S Sathyaraj, will hit the theatres on June 7.
