Yesterday, Bollywood actor Govinda had met with a freak incident, which had him accidentally shooting himself with a licensed gun at his residence when he was about to leave Mumbai as a part of his upcoming assignment. After the said incident, the actor was immediately rushed to the Mumbai based Critic Care Hospital. After that, as a part of investigations, the Mumbai Police had questioned the actor.

As per a source-based report in News 18, Bollywood actor Govinda was questioned by the Juhu Police officers in connection with yesterday’s incident. The report stated that Govinda, when asked to recall the said incident, had said (to the police officials) that the said revolver was unlocked. And that, when he was cleaning the said revolver, it misfired. The said report also stated that Govinda had mentioned to the police officials that the said revolver was 20 years old.

The same report stated that the police personnel believed that there was no foul play. At the same time, they were not even completely convinced with Govinda’s version of the said incident. And that’s why, maybe the police personnel may once again record the actor’s statement. The same report added that, besides Govinda, even his daughter Tina Ahuja had been questioned by the police personnel in the same case and that her statement was recorded as well.

For the unversed, here’s the update. After Govinda accidentally hurt himself with the bullet which was (mi)fired from his licensed gun, he was immediately rushed to the hospital, wherein he was taken for treatment in the Intensive care Unit (ICU).

While Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja was not in Mumbai at the time of the said incident, she rushed to Mumbai in no time to be with her husband. Meanwhile, there was Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha who was constantly updating the media with the health of the actor.

During his interaction with the ANI, Shashi Sinha said, “Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was getting ready to leave for Kolkata. He was keeping his licensed revolver in the case when it fell from his hand and a bullet got fired which hit his leg. The doctor has removed the bullet and his condition is fine. He is in the hospital right now’.

As for the actor Govinda, he sent out a voice note to the media yesterday, wherein he was heard saying that he was extremely grateful to everyone and the doctors who had treated him. Govinda is likely to get discharged in a couple of days.
