Mrunal Thakur feels ‘glorious and majestic’ to be a part of Kalki 2898 AD universe, shares BTS pictures

Starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan, Kalki 2898 AD has become a blockbuster hit at the box office after it earned more than Rs 500 crore worldwide. Now, actress Mrunal Thakur, who has a cameo performance in Nag Ashwin’s film, penned a note for the team of Kalki 2898 AD, claiming that she is eagerly awaiting the release of part two.

Taking to Instagram, Mrunal shared the poster image of Kalki 2898 AD and some BTS pictures from her shoot. In the caption, she penned a heartfelt note for the cast and crew of Kalki 2898 AD.

Celebrating the brilliance of director Nag Ashwin and the world of Kashi where the film is set, Mrunal wrote in the caption, “WHAT A FILM !!! Absolutely blown away by the visuals of #Kalki2898AD. The entire team has done a stellar job on this film!! From the cast to the sets, to the music, to the vfx, the the costumes everything is just so well done! @nag_ashwin Garu hats off to you for your vision and for bringing this masterpiece to life.”

Speaking about veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan who plays the role of Ashwatthama in the film, Mrunal said that she loved his screen presence, and he has done a fabulous job. “Sir you truly are the shahenshah!!! Your performance as Ashwathama is just phenomenal, I’m still in awe with how you commanded each scene!!!,” she added.

Talking about Deepika Padukone, who plays Sumati, the woman who will give birth to Kalki, Mrunal said that the actress has portrayed her character with grace and elegance. “@deepikapadukone you’ve brought Sumati to life with such grace and I loveee your presence on screen, you’ve done such a fab job,” she wrote.

Mrunal talked about the main character, Bhairava, played by South superstar Prabha, and said that she loved every aspect of his role. “@actorprabhas garu where to even begin, you’ve really knocked it out of the park! My favorite part is your dynamic and bond with Bujji @keerthysureshofficial , it’s waaaay too cute. I loved it,” she remarked. Concluding the post, Mrunal wrote, “@nag_ashwin Garu I’m so glad to be a small part of this majestic and glorious universe!”

Kalki 2898 AD lead stars

Helmed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD, starring Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas, released on June 27 in theatres.

The sci-fi film is set in the futuristic town of Kashi. Ashwatthama, played by Amitabh Bachchan, is on a mission to save the unborn Kalki who is supposed to be the saviour of mankind. Deepika Padukone plays Sumathi, the mother of the unborn Kalki. Prabhas, on the other hand, is on a mission to bring Sumati to the evil forces who control the city.
