While fans eagerly await the release of Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer Mr. & Mrs. Mahi in theatres on May 31, the makers of this romantic sports drama film organised a special screening for Bollywood celebrities, the reviews from which are creating a buzz on the internet. Celebrities appreciate Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s heartfelt portrayal, while calling Mr. & Mrs. Mahi a film with a big heart.

Bollywood celebrities review Mr. & Mrs. Mahi

After watching the movie, several Bollywood celebrities showered praise on Mr. & Mrs. Mahi on social media.

Laapataa Ladies actress Pratibha Ranta took to her Instagram stories and shared two stills from the film while appreciating the performances from the star cast. She wrote, ‘@janhvikapoor @rajkummar_rao Y’all were incredible! Wishing you guys the best for this.’ Pratibha Ranta’s Laapataa Ladies co-star actress Nitanshi Goel also appreciated the film and called it a gem, while also praising Janhvi and Rajkummar’s beautiful, genuine and powerful performances.

Actress Neha Dhupia appreciated the way Mr. & Mrs Mahi has brought out the emotion of cricket. She said, ‘The emotion and love for cricket and the performances and directions made our hearts smile..’

Speaking about the sociological aspect of the film, actress Soha Ali Khan shared a poster image of the film and wrote, ‘What a lovely feel-good film that reminds you what is really important in life is-happiness.’

Speaking about the main characters played by Janhvi and Rajkummar, actor Angad Bedi wrote that the portrayal of honesty, vulnerability and insecurities by Rajkummar in the film makes him a fine Mr. Mahi, while Janhvi Kapoor owns the frame by acing cricket and portraying Mrs. Mahi at the same time.

Actress Kusha Kapila said that Mr. & Mrs. Mahi is a cute film with a big heart that gives you all the feel of a modern-day couple obsessed with cricket.

Talking about the recreation of the song Say Shava Shava in the film with Dekhha Tenu, actress Anjali Dinesh Anand wrote, ‘Recreating this song was a great decision on repeat.’ On her Instagram stories, the actress also urged the audiences to watch Mr. & Mrs. Mahi in theatres this weekend to have a great time.
