Manoj Bajpayee reveals why he does not attend Bollywood parties

    Manoj Bajpayee is basking in the success of his recently released film Despatch where he plays the role of a journalist trying to uncover a scam. Despite being in the industry for more than 20 years, the actor is not seen enjoying time out with people from the industry. Speaking about his absence from Bollywood parties, the actor said that he prefers to go to bed early in the night and is quite content with the fact that people no longer invite him to parties.

    During an interview with Indian Express, the actor was asked about how he stays out of controversies and avoids the spotlight. The actor replied by saying that he has not had any major controversies and does not attend any parties. Manoj added that he is quite content with the fact that people no longer invite him to parties, and they have learned not to be embarrassed by his absence.

    Speaking further, Manoj added that his preferred time for going to bed is between 10:00 and 10:30 at night and likes to wake up early in the morning, so hopes that people don't call him late at night.

    Manoj Bajpayee's friends inside the Bollywood industry

    Shedding more light on his connections inside the industry, the actor stated that he occasionally goes out to meet with his friends who are directors and Manoj does not have many connections in the acting industry apart from Sharib Hashmi. He added that he personally knows Kay Kay Menon but his busy schedule hinders him from meeting friend Nawazuddin Siddiqui from time to time.

    He said, “I do go out to meet a few people, director friends of mine. There is Sharib Hashmi, but I don’t have many actor friends. I know Kay Kay Menon, and I have high regard for him. Even Nawazuddin Siddiqui, but we don’t meet very often because we are all so very busy people.”
