Malayalam actor Jayasurya, who has been facing sexual abuse allegations, was recently questioned by the Kerala police in Thiruvananthapuram. The case was registered following a complaint filed by a Kochi-based actress.

After the interrogation, the actor addressed the media, denying all the allegations and claiming that the alleged victim had been lying to the media. He responded to questions about the interrogation and completely dismissed the accusations. Calling the case fabricated, the Kathanar actor stated that he did not even need anticipatory bail. He further expressed concern, noting that it was alarming how easily people could make false accusations against anyone. He acknowledged that he had the 'platform to defend himself', unlike others.

Referring to himself as a "living martyr," he said, "I am facing two false accusations. A woman has been speaking on various platforms, alleging that it is me, but later, she denied it on several occasions. I will fight this legally until the accusations against me are proven false. I believe I am a living martyr."

    About the allegations against Jayasurya

In the actress's complaint, she alleged that Jayasurya behaved inappropriately toward her during the filming of De Ingottu Nokkiye (2008). According to the complaint, the incident occurred at the Secretariat in Thiruvananthapuram, where the shooting was taking place. She claimed that, while she was adjusting her saree on set, Jayasurya approached her from behind, hugged and kissed her without consent, and then invited her to his flat.

This was followed by another complaint from a different actress, who accused Jayasurya of sexually harassing her on a film set in Thodupuzha in 2012-2013.
