Malaika shares loved-up snap with Arjun Kapoor on Valentine’s Day; latter talks about being a ‘public couple’

Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor and the beautiful Malaika Arora are one of the most popular couples of the Hindi film industry. While they initially tried to keep their relationship away from the public eye, in 2019 the couple made things official on social media. Malaika wished Arjun on his birthday with an adorable photograph, and the rest is history. Ever since then, they have been much more open about their love for each other. Just this morning, on the occasion of Valentine’s Day, Malaika shared a breathtaking picture in which Arjun is planting a kiss on her forehead while she holds him tight. In the caption, the actress wrote: “Mine.”

In a chat with Hindustan Times on the day of love, Arjun revealed that coming out as a public couple was not something the two lovebirds had planned. It happened organically. When they felt they were steady and solid enough to face all the speculation coming their way, they allowed it to happen and let things flow. Arjun was quoted saying, “We stood by each other through this relationship, facing speculation, facing brickbats, facing chatter, unnecessary at times, because of social media toxicity. It was hell for us for many days. She had to face so much because of the fact that we came out in the open, but I admire her for giving me and our relationship so much dignity.”

The Ishaqzaade actor further shared that standing by his lady love felt like the most natural thing to do. He went on to add, “We’re glad that we were the first of our kind where we showed age is not of any consequence when you love someone. And at the same time, I think we did it in the most decent manner, and we allowed things to happen naturally, rather than shoving it in people’s faces.” Arjun is glad that he and Malaika were one of the first few couples who took away fear and anxiety from celebs who wanted to come out with their relationship.

Talking about their Valentine’s Day plans, Arjun shared that the occasion is always special for him and Malaika as they try to do something unique for each other. He loves giving her surprises, which is exactly what he intends to do today as well.
