Major box office day 3 collection: Adivi Sesh's film continues its steady pace, mints Rs 24.5 crore

Adivi Sesh starrer Major was released into the theatres on June 3 and while the patriotic essence and Sesh’s performance were much appreciated, the film had opened at a sluggish pace. However, now the movie is showing a drastic improvement with the collections and going at a steady pace. The total collections of the film now stand at Rs 24.5 crore.

Film analyst Ramesh Bala took to his social media handle to state, “Blockbuster #Major continues to inspire and be loved by all #MajorTheFilm 🇮🇳 grosses 24.5 Cr in 2 days and going great guns at the Box Office.” Despite facing tough competition from Akshay Kumar ’s Samrat Prithviraj and Kamal Haasan starrer Viram, it seems that Major might continue its upward spiral when it comes to the box office collections owing to the positive word of mouth. Not only this but Major is also doing well in the USA. The film has reportedly minted $850K as stated by Ramesh Bala. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh also tweeted, “‘MAJOR’ MARCHES TOWARDS MILLION DOLLAR CLUB… #Major is having an excellent run in #USA… Total till Saturday: $ 722,056 [₹ 5.61 cr]… Sunday tracking is strong too… Will hit $ 1 million soon. @comScore.”

Adivi Sesh has been garnering a tremendously positive response for his performance as Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the hero of 26/11 in the movie. The film also stars Saiee Manjrekar, Prakash Raj , Revathi , and Shobhita Shulipala in the lead roles. It has been directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka and produced by Mahesh Babu.

Some of the action sequences are masterfully choreographed and especially an off-guard attack on the terrorists by the poolside after an intelligent trick by Unnikrishnan will surely make way for one of the highlights.”
