Luv Sinha gives update on his father Shatrughan Sinha’s health - ‘There was no surgical procedure, one shouldn’t believe...’

Shatrughan Sinha was reportedly hospitalised after attending his daughter Sonakshi Sinha’s intimate wedding in Mumbai recently. His son Luv Sinha revealed that the actor-turned-politician was suffering from viral fever, and has now asked people not to believe unverified news.

Luv Sinha on Shatrughan’s health

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Luv Sinha wrote, "In regard to my father’s health I’d like to clarify that there was no surgical procedure, and one shouldn’t believe unverified news. We took my father to the hospital for his annual checkup, and because he had a strong fever. Thank you to everyone who has been concerned."

The veteran actor was recently admitted to the hospital, a few days after he attended his daughter Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding with Zaheer Iqbal. Luv Sinha later issued an official statement and said that the actor was taken for a routine check-up and that he was suffering from viral fever.

Newlywed couple Sonakshi and Zaheer were also spotted visiting Shatrughan in the hospital in Mumbai.

Shatrughan suffering from high fever

People were speculating whether Shatrughan underwent surgery, but Luv said those reports were false and insisted that there had been no surgical procedure.

As per a report by PTI, Luv said that his father had a strong fever and they decided to take him to the hospital so that he could recover, and also get his annual tests done. “I have been going there (to the hospital) every day, so (I) can tell you that there was no surgical procedure,” he added.

Meanwhile, Shatrughan recently made headlines after he won the Lok Sabha seat from West Bengal's Asansol constituency as a TMC candidate. There were also reports that Shatrughan would not attend his daughter’s wedding, but the actor later put those rumours to rest by asking, “Why wouldn’t I?”

However, Luv had not attended Sonakshi's wedding, drawing much attention. Reacting to the reports, he wrote on social media, “Why I chose not to attend. Running an online campaign against me on a false premise won’t change the fact that for me my family will always come first."
