Actor-producer Dulquer Salmaan on Wednesday unveiled the first song from his upcoming movie, Lucky Baskhar. The song, titled "Srimathi Garu," is a romantic melody featuring Dulquer and Meenakshi Chaudhary. Composed by GV Prakash Kumar, "Srimathi Garu" captures the gentle efforts of a husband trying to pacify his upset wife.

The song is sung by Vishal Mishra and Shweta Mohan, with lyrics penned by Shreemani. The tunes, lyrics, and singing blend beautifully, making it an instant earworm. "A song that will stay with you forever!" said Dulquer while releasing the song. The song has also been released in Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi.

Lucky Baskhar is written and directed by Venky Atluri, known for making feel-good movies. He has earlier directed movies like Tholi Prema and Rang De. His last movie was with Tamil star Dhanush. The film, titled Vaathi/Sir, was a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. The movie was a socio-political drama about the drawbacks of the education system. It garnered a positive response from critics and also clicked at the box office.

Lucky Baskhar is a caper comedy, seemingly laced with plenty of feel-good romance. The filmmakers earlier released a teaser for the movie, giving a glimpse of its core plot. The film seems to revolve around an ordinary bank employee, Baskhar, played by Dulquer Salmaan. He appears content with his middle-class stature, enjoying the peace and comfort of ordinary life. However, by some miracle, he ends up in control of a massive pile of money. And the seemingly ordinary Baskhar shows a willingness to go to extraordinary lengths to protect the wealth he gains by accident.

Lucky Baskhar is set to hit the screens on September 27. However, the latest buzz suggests that the filmmakers may move up the release date to August.
